Regional Clinic Director

Your role as a Regional Clinic Director (RCD) will be central to our mission of reshaping the landscape of mental health care. You will apply your expertise and experience to the operation of community-rooted outpatient clinics; leading a culture that creates an environment of psychological safety that prioritizes growth, support, and clinical excellence. As a visionary leader, you will have the unique opportunity to guide and develop a team of master's-trained and licensed Therapists, psychiatric providers, and administrative teams who are collaboratively working toward the shared goal of delivering high-quality care across the DMV region.

The RCD is responsible for managing multiple clinics in a region, providing oversite of multiple clinic leaders and for the overall development and delivery of clinical services across sites. The RCD works closely with Clinical Directors to monitor overall productivity, performance and quality of services delivered at clinic sites, and supports clinic leaders as they hire and train providers. The Regional Clinical Director works closely with Clinical Directors to act as organizational culture carriers, ensuring exceptional customer service and delivery of high quality behavioral health therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinic directors in the hiring and training of clinical team; supervise clinic directors and site leaders.
  • Provide clinical leadership and decision making regarding clinical system of care and individual client care, ensuring that individual clinic directors implement agency policies and procedures and deliver clinical services in accordance with company standards
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision of team and work with clinic directors to ensure that supervision is being provided in accordance with regulatory agencies, payor contracts and licensing boards where applicable
  • Accountable for clinic productivity and performance, using data to monitor and drive decisions around hiring, scheduling etc. Work with clinic directors to develop plans to address performance and productivity issues, monitors trends etc.
  • Promote compliance with applicable requirements, laws, and regulations
  • Facilitate onboarding in collaboration with training and human resource teams, ensuring that clinic leadership is adequately prepared to lead clinics and drive organizational culture and accountability.
  • Actively support clinicians and help reduce burnout and improve morale in collaboration with Market Leader and clinic directors
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to clinic directors and other team members in collaboration with clinic directors and manage corrective action as needed with support from Human Resources.
  • Participate in leadership team meetings and facilitate clinic staff meetings
  • Ensure after hours coverage by clinic directors and site leaders; develop after hour and crisis protocols in collaboration with COO
  • May carry a small caseload of therapy clients if desired
  • Collaborate with Medical leadership to ensure adequate coverage and clinical care for prescriber services across market
  • In collaboration with the COO and the Market Vice President, develop a supervision program to allow for master's prepared and doctoral prepared clinicians to deliver services across the market in accordance with regulatory and payor requirements
  • Provide clinical leadership to support rollout of new clinical products (e.g interventional services, psychological testing etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher from applicable accredited program
  • PhD degree preferred
  • Valid independent clinical license
  • Experience in mental health counseling and management of outpatient clinic services
  • At least 8 years experience providing clinical supervision and leadership
  • Comfortable using data to manage performance and outcomes
  • Knowledge of state/federal rules and regulations
  • Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team especially in stressful situations
  • Desire to do a thorough job in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to train and coach other therapists
  • Knowledge of current standards, principles, and practices of psychiatric care (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, methods, issues, and approaches in mental health (Preferred)

Columbia Mental Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $95,000. Actual compensation may vary based on licensure, experience, market-driven enhancements, and incentive opportunities available for this role. These ranges represent our current standard compensation practices and may be adjusted over time to remain competitive and aligned with organizational needs.
